The Trailblazers of Sierra Canyon return to Honolulu, HI and the `Iolani Classic for the third time in 2021. Sierra Canyon won the tournament in 2015, and finished second in 2018. The Trailblazers, headed by Head Coach Andre Chevalier, enter the 2021-22 campaign, after a 16-2 record last year, losing to Etiwanda 82-76 in the state playoffs. This year’s team will be led by a bevy of upperclassmen, including seniors Amari Bailey Shy Odom, Ramel Lloyd and Kijani Wright. Junior guards Bronny James and Mike Price are also impact players for Sierra Canyon.
Coach Chevalier and the Trailblazers have a goal for their season. “Win the California Open Division State Championship.”
