Led by Coach Kelly Grant, the Spartans enter 2017-18 with a strong nucleus of returners. After finishing last season with a 20-6 record and a share of the ILH Regular Season Title, Maryknoll is looking forward to the 2017-18 season. The Spartans return a trio of senior guards: 6’3 Jaylen Cain, 5’11 Jordyn Perez and 5’9 Isiah Gelacio. All three seniors are four-year varsity players. In addition to the strong backcourt, Maryknoll welcomes a trio of impact sophomores including 6’2 Niko Robben, 6’3 Ethan Rudometkin and 6’2 Liko Soares. The tenth graders will add strength and scoring to the group.
Coach Grant, with 22 years of head coaching experience, added the following regarding this years group: “We have 11 returnees with a lot of regular season experience. We have everything needed to make a strong push for an ILH title and a state tournament berth.”
