The Lunas of Lahainaluna come into 2017-18 after a stellar 2016-17 campaign. Coach Justus led the Lunas to an impressive 24-2 record, a MIL Championship and a third place finish in HHSAA Division I Basketball Championships. The Lunas went undefeated in MIL play and lost to Punahou in the HHSAA Semifinals 54-47, prior to defeating ‘Iolani 60-58 in the third place contest.

Lahainaluna returns key contributors in Iverson Turno (senior, 5’10”, PG), Aukai Kama (senior, 6’4″, Forward) Reece Pascua (junior, 5’10” G). Coach Justus commented on this years expectations. “We are looking forward to putting all of our hard work into practice and showing a disciplined and aggressive team effort.” This year marks the Lunas second appearance in the ‘Iolani Classic, their last appearance coming in 1988.
