Kamehameha enters the 2017-18 season with an experienced group. The Warriors finished last season at 16-14 overall and fourth place in the Interscholastic League of Honolulu. Guided by Head Coach Greg Tacon (19 seasons) the Warriors will be led by two four year letter-winners: 6’6 All State Forward Kobe Young and 6`2 guard Kamren Victorino-Kato (11.7ppg). Young is a four-year starter who averaged 14.5 points a game as junior while Kamren Victorino-Kato averaged 11.7 points per game last season.

The Warriors also return three other starters from last year’s team: 6’5 senior Lele Kawaiaea, 6’0 senior Laamea Frank and 6’0 sophomore Christmas Togiai. 6’3 senior Mycah Pimintal, 6’0 junior Hoku Arias, 5’10 senior Blaze Guerreo and 5’10 sophomore Braden DeFries also return from last year’s squad. Coach Tacon is excited about this year’s group. With nine returning players who either started or played significant minutes, the Warriors have a very optimistic look for 2017-2018.
