The Falcons of Kalani High School enter the ‘Iolani Classic for the third time in 2019. The Falcons last entered the tournament in 2003. Kalani enters the year as an OIA Division I team, looking to improve upon last year’s 13-10 finish. The Falcons finished fourth in their conference last season.

Head Coach Noa Hussey (1st season) will look to guide Kalani through a competitive non-league and league schedule. He will count on Brandon Chung, the Falcons leading scorer and rebounder that returns. Micah Kouchi and sophomore Wakea Kanahele will be counted on to provide valuable minutes. Coach Hussey commented on this year’s team: “After many years in HHSAA Division 2 we are focusing on staying in HHSAA Division 1, making the OIA Playoffs, and having the First HHSAA Division 1 State Tournament Berth since 1999.”
