The Mustangs of Kalaheo return to the `Iolani Classic for the 18th time in 2021. Led by Head Coach Rob Pardini, Kalaheo is coming off a strong season in 2019-20, finishing 23-8 and first in the OIA. The Mustangs have had some success in the `Iolani Classic, compiling a 31-34 record in their long history in the tournament, including a 2nd place finish in 1994.
This year’s Mustangs will be led by senior point guard Kai’ehu Schenk-Lee and senior wing Gabe Chang. Coach Pardini commented on the upcoming season: “Coming off the COVID year which sidelined our entire season in 2020-21, we are excited to compete for our 21st OIA Championship and an HHSAA State Title.”
