The Raiders of `Iolani School return to host the `Iolani Classic after a very successful run their last two competitive seasons, ending with HHSAA Division I State Championships in both 2019 and 2020. The Raiders enter the 2021-22 season following the graduation of a strong senior class which included three players who are all playing collegiately: Jo Huntimer (Air Force), Lily Lefotu Wahinekapu (Cal State Fullerton), and Kyra Tanabe (Chadron State).

While the Raiders bid aloha to a strong senior group last year, `Iolani welcomes back a talented group for the upcoming campaign. Senior Jovi Wahinekapu Lefotu (Univ. of Hawai’i signee) along with sophomore Jaety Mandaquit will help lead a talented squad this season. Led by veteran head coach Dean Young, the Raiders are excited to get back on the floor. Coach Young commented: “We have a young team with a lot of new faces who are still learning how to play our style of basketball and develop team chemistry. They have already shown us that they want to get better and I expect that they will be very competitive.”
