The Raiders of ‘Iolani School play host to the ‘Iolani Girls Prep Classic for the twelfth time in 2018. Led by Head Coach Dean Young, the Raiders are excited for the 2018-19 season.
This year’s team is led by 5’7 senior guard, Taylor Wu (committed to California Baptist University). The youthful Raiders will be looking to replace the scoring and leadership of senior point guard Tori Lynn Maeda who is out for the season due to injury. Coach Young will rely on senior leadership from guard Shyann Kahalehoe to mentor sophomores 5’5 Lily Lefotu-Wahinekapu, 5’11 Alexis Huntimer and 5’3 Kyra Tanabe to pick up the scoring and ball handling. The run and gun Lady Raiders will look to push the tempo and create shots with unselfish ball movement.
